• What brings more than 350 alumni, students, parents, alumni parents, faculty, former faculty, trustees, former trustees, friends and family members to campus on an April afternoon?
• Why does a pilot in training, a first chair violinist or a merit scholar choose to play three seasons for the Panthers?
• Why do alumni from Australia, England, California and around the country return for one night to reunite with former classmates after 20 years?
• Why do faculty stay after school to help a student and arrive early to talk with a colleague or exchange thoughts on a novel or educational publication?
• Why do alumni parents return to watch games after their children have graduated and also choose to participate in Annual Fund phone-a-thons even though the funds they raise do not benefit their own children?
Why...? Because Students, Faculty and Staff, Parents, Alumni, Trustees understand that Portledge School is a community that expects that each of us will do his best to support one another. Although we are a small school among larger and more established independent schools in the nation, Portledge students distinguish themselves as leaders academically, artistically, athletically and professionally.
Continue the tradition of participation and explore ways you can grow our community and contribute to Portledge’s present and future progress.
