Portledge encourages all students from Pre-Nursery through 12th grade to enhance their creative expression while building upon a foundation of technical skills and a global understanding of the importance of creativity and art in the world. Our passionate and accomplished team of teachers, seek to strike a balance of constructive criticism and individual motivation to help each student to achieve the highest levels of creative excellence in their work. Student art works are displayed throughout the building and highlighted during the biannual winter and spring art exhibitions in the Middle & Upper schools and the annual art exhibition in the Lower School. Our website serves as a virtual gallery of student art works for all to enjoy. Each month an “Artist of the Month” is recognized from each division and their work is prominently displayed in each building for a approximately one month.
