IT'S JANUARY 2010 - REPORTING IN WORDS AND PHOTOS!

Alain Mathieu came to the Lower School Library to show pictures of Haiti before the earthquake to 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. The students learned about the issues of rebuilding the countries infrastructre and asked many interesting and insightful questions. Thanks to Alain and his mother Mme. Mathieu for helping to put this program together for our students.

We weathered the LS partial black out during the storm on Monday, January 25, 2010. Teachers were resourceful and we were reminded of what teaching and learning was like during the years before modern technology.

The 3rd grade enjoyed a science field trip with Mrs. Sarles to the Vanderbilt Estate.

AND IN OUR SLIDE SHOW:

The 5th grade students presented poems and facts about Dr. Martin Luther King at our Wednesday Assembly.

Lower School students participated in the Annual Paperback Book Exchange during which they exchange a favorite book they read for one their friends have enjoyed.
