It was a good start for the boys 5/6 soccer with a 4-0 win over East Woods. Goal scorers were James Treanor '18, Edward Brambil '18 and 2 for Burnham Lewis '18. Solid goaltending from Noah Bernstein and Pedro Pedernera.

The 5/6 boys gave it their best playing with only 9 players. The game was kept close by stellar second half goal tending by Burnham Lewis '18.

In a very exciting game the Panthers trailed 1-0 before James Treanor '18 scored late in the first half. In the second half Burnham Lewis '18 made a nice through pass to Treanor who went top shelf and put the ball high into the ol' onion bag for his second goal of the game. Defense held on to preserve the win.

The 5/6 boys played a competitive match against rival Greenvale coming up short 4-2. Goals were scored by James Treanor '18 (on a header), and Burnham Lewis '18. Other standout players were Edward Brambil '18 and Pedro Pedernera '19.

The lone bright spot was provided by Burnham Lewis '18 who scored on a penalty kick to make the score 2-1 at the time. Buckley's balanced attack was too much for the Panthers.

It what was the best game of the seasons the young Panthers had 3 different players score in a win over Holy Child. Early in the first half Edward Brambil '18 went top shelf from 20 yards out to give Portledge a 1-0 lead. Just before the half concluded James Treanor '18 scored to make it 2-0. In the second half Holy Child cut the lead to 2-1, before Burnham Lewis '18 scored on a penalty kick to make it 3-1. Holy Child scored to make it 3-2, but outstanding goaltending by Pedro Pedernera '19, who also saved a penalty kick, sealed the win for the panthers.

Burnham Lewis' '18 hat trick was not quite enough as the young Panthers fell a goal short against East Woods School. The 5/6 boys finished the season at 3-4.
