It was a fine start to the 5/6 boys basketball season as they came away with a 25-13 win at Eastwoods. the leading scorer was Burnham Lewis '18 who netted 17. James Treanor '18, Edward Brambil '18, Noah Bernstein '19 and Finn McNamara '19 all had 2 points.

The young Panthers made it two in a row with a 28-16 victory over Solomon Schecter Day School. Burnham Lewis ' 18 again led the attack with 22 points, while James Treanor '18 added 4 and Phillippe Charlot '19 added 2.

Directions:	From the east or west: 1. Take the Long Island Expressway (I-495) to Exit 39N (Glen Cove Road). 2. Exit North toward Glen Cove. 3. Take Glen Cove Road north approximately 2 miles to Northern Blvd. (Rte. 25A) (There is a Pathmark shopping center on your right and a Wendy’s on your left.) 4. Turn Right (East) onto Northern Blvd. (25A) and travel East for 3 traffic lights to Valentine's Lane. There is a blue and white sign on the corner with the school’s name on it. (New York Tech is on your right and St. Francis DeMatteis Center is on your left. If you pass Valentine’s Lane you will end up at the C.W. Post campus.) 5. Turn Left at the light onto Valentine's Lane. The main entrance to the school is the 3rd driveway on the right.

In their toughest contest so far this year, the young Panthers lost to a very good Greenvale team 29-19. Although never out of the game the boys could not put together any sustained run. Scoring leaders were Burnham Lewis '18 with 9 points, Isaiah Alonzo-St. Surin '19 added 6 points and James Treanor '18 with 4 points. Next up is Solomon Schecther on Tuesday.

After a slow start the young Panthers roared back to defeat SSDS 29-21. Burnham Lewis '18 scored 13 playing less than half the game. Edward Brambil '18 netted 8, James Treanor '18 added 6, and Isaiah Alonzo St.-Surin '19 had 2. Strong contributions by Derek Binger '18 and Pedro Pedernera '19 contributed to the win. The boys are a very respectable 3-1.

In their most impressive win of the season the 5/6 boys basketball team posted a 33-6 win over Holy Child. 6 Panthers led a potent attack. Burnham Lewis '18 led all scorers with 18. James Treanor '18 added 5, Isaiah Alonzo-St. Surin '19 chipped in 4, and Pedro Pederna '19, Edward Brambil '18, and Noah Bernstein '19 had two points each. The win improved the team's record to 4-1.

In their closest game of the seasons the young Panthers came up short to a different Holy Child team 29-26. Down by 14 points in the third quarter Portledge staged a valiant comback to fall just short. Edward Brambil '18 led the attack with 8 points, James Treanor '18 added 6, Burnham Lewis '18 netted 5, Noah Bernstein '19 had 4, Pedro Pederena '19 scored 2 and Isaiah Alonzo-St. Surin '19 had a point. the boys are 4-2.
