1) Explain the importance of trees to the Easter Island ecosystem and to its people.
2) Why didn't someone think to stop cutting down the trees?
3) Look on the internet for 'Tragedy of the Commons', and find a clear, simple definition with examples. How does the Easter Island case relate to this 'tragedy'?
