Reading
Here are some tips for working on reading with your child:
  • Read to your child every day. No matter what age your child is, they benefit by hearing you read. When you share a story you help your child by modeling language, comprehension, and fluency.
  • Surround you child with a variety of materials to read and places to read.
  • Provide your child with many opportunities to read. Whether it's the grocery list, a road sign, an article in a child's magazine, or a favorite book, there are many ways in which your child can read to you.
