Congratulations to the Portledge Varsity Girls Basketball team that won the 2011 Portledge Basketball Invitational. The Lady Panthers defeated Martin Luther 56 -40 in the championship game on Saturday, December 10. Ceci Mulry ’13 and Tamara Simpson ’14 were selected to the All-Tournament team, and Tamara Simpson was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. This is the girls’ first championship in this event since 1996.

Members of the team include: Lisa Dourmashkin ’12, Bizzer Gahagan ’15, Lainie Gahagan ’13, Kristie Kelly ’13, Samantha Kravietz ’13, Alexa Lodenquai ’12, Ceci Mulry ’13, Edugie Ojo ’14, Arielle Parris ’13, Imani Sewell ’14, Eve Shapiro ’13, Tamara Simpson ’14,Alisa Shvartsbart ’14, and Carley Tsiames ’14.  The team is coached by faculty members Skip Amadio, John Greene and Francesca Maiello.
