News 12 came to Portledge to do a story about Tamara and Terence Simpson ’14 and the Portledge basketball program. They interviewed both of them plus athletic director, Mr. Hills and the boys and girls varsity coaches, Mr. Woll and Mr. Amadio. The story angle was why these two high-level basketball players chose to leave their respective powerhouse basketball schools to attend Portledge. The reason was they wanted to take advantage of the education offered here. They have been pleasantly surprised by the Portledge basketball program and the fact that it is top-notch, playing competitive teams, with outstanding coaches and supportive teammates.
