September Athletes of the Month

The Portledge Athletic Department has restarted the Athlete of the Month tradition this school year. As part of recognizing top athletic achievement, Portledge will name a male and female athlete of the month in both the Middle and Upper Schools. Recipients are named at the first divisional morning meeting each month.

A huge congratulations goes out to our Athletes of the Month for September:

Middle School
Ian Alper ‘24 and Leila Carnevale ‘24 for their hard work and commitment to their 5/6 Soccer teams. Both athletes displayed total commitment to their team, respect for their coaches and opponents, and a commendable level of sportsmanship. These athletes have performed at a very high level on the field as well.

Upper School
Lisa Sholomon ‘18 for her dedication to the Varsity Girls Tennis team and unwavering leadership and confidence in her team.
Jonathan Escobar ‘19 for his outstanding performance and leadership as Goalkeeper on the Varsity Boys Soccer team
