Portledge in the Now.

A New Look for the Upper School Quad

by Tara Askeland
Portledge School is excited to announce the renovation of the campus quad, thanks to a generous donation made by The Bahnik & Mercier Families. The quad, a central gathering space for students and faculty alike, has undergone extensive transformation this past summer. This transformational undertaking aims to enhance the student experience and foster a vibrant campus community for years to come.

The renovation includes modern landscaping, new pathways, and a renovation of the Wellington Gym patio. The revitalized quad will offer an inviting atmosphere for academic discussions, student events, and leisure activities, fostering an even stronger sense of community within the campus. The project design, construction, and landscaping was completed by Alumni Parent, Anthony Aureliano, owner of Paul's Nursery.

"The Bahnik & Mercier Families have been invaluable members of our community, and we are deeply grateful for this generous contribution," said Simon Owen-Williams. "The quad renovation project is a testament to their commitment to creating an exceptional educational environment for our students."

This Quad Renovation Project aligns with the Portledge mission to provide an outstanding learning experience that goes beyond the classroom. The improved quad will serve as a symbol of growth, progress, and unity, embodying the values that make our school a beacon of academic excellence.
