Portledge in the Now.

Senior Launch Program

"Practical College Readiness: Surviving the Real World"

Seniors will participate in a series of workshops where they learn basic skills that will help them acclimate to living on a college campus, surviving those first few weeks alone, and understanding how to problem solve on their own. Workshops will be taught by chosen faculty, staff, and/or alumni. In addition to the information of the workshop, students will use their laptops to find applicable resources on their college campuses to help prepare them in advance.  The workshop titles are as follows: Financial Literacy, Living Alone, Transportation, Socializing, Self-Advocacy, and Real-World Situations.
