From Kim Leonard, President of the Parents Association
Welcome back to campus! As the President of the Portledge School Parent Association, I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to all our students, families, faculty, and staff for the start of a new academic year.
At Portledge School, we believe in the power of collaboration and partnership between parents, teachers, and students. As the Parent Association, we are committed to supporting the school's mission and enhancing the educational experience for our children. We strive to foster a sense of belonging, provide resources and opportunities for involvement, and create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all families.
Throughout the year, we will be organizing various events and initiatives aimed at strengthening the bond between school and home. We encourage you to actively participate and make the most of your Portledge experience. Our dedicated team of volunteers is here to assist you in any way we can, so please do not hesitate to reach out.
Portledge has many opportunities at the beginning of the school year for families and faculty to come together, one of which is my personal favorite, Founders Day.
Founders Day is a long-standing tradition at Portledge and it is an amazing way to show your support for our school. We hope you will join us for a day of rides, live music, exciting sports games, activities, the Panther Den, and delicious food. There are many opportunities to volunteer to help make this a successful event and it is also a great way for new and returning members of our community to come together to have fun and support Portledge. We hope to see you there on Saturday, September 30.
I also want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to the incredible faculty and staff at Portledge School. Their unwavering dedication, adaptability, and commitment to our students' well-being have been truly remarkable. We are fortunate to have such a passionate and talented group of educators guiding our children's educational journey.
As we embark on this new academic year, let us embrace the opportunities for growth, learning, and discovery that lie ahead. Together, we can create a supportive and nurturing environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
I look forward to meeting and collaborating with all of you in the coming months. Please remember that the Parent Association is here to support you and your family throughout the year. Let us join hands and make this academic year a memorable one for our children.
