Portledge Boys Golf takes on Chaminade: Round 2

It was a perfect day weather-wise as the Varsity Boys Golf team competed against Chaminade at Nassau CC. It was the team’s second match against the athletic powerhouse. This time around though the team played much better and the match ended with a smaller score difference. Sebastian Tate ‘23 once again took home the medalist honors for Portledge, continuing to play strong golf. Ross Klein ‘21 and George Anderson ‘20 both carded a 50, with Klein ‘21 improving his score from just one day by 8 shots, and by 10 shots from last time playing at Nassau CC, a big improvement! Tanner Flood ‘21 was the only Panther to score, tying his opponent to earn ½ point. Reed Rosen ‘20 returned from illness and battled his opponent valiantly, only losing by a few strokes. Carter Biondi ‘22 continued to improve his golf play and made Portledge proud in his determination. Demetri Passelis ‘23 scored a 54, 8 shots better than his score at Brookville, and continues to show his rapid improvement. And rounding out our team, Christopher Chiu ‘21 joined the team after finishing up his part in the Upper School Spring Musical and performed well in his first match of the season.
