David Staples Portrait Presentation

Communications
On Friday, March 31, a group of Portledge alumni from the classes of 1976 and 1977 gathered in the Head of School's outer office to present a portrait of past headmaster David Staples to current Head of School, Simon Owen-Williams.
Dick Breining '76, Tom Hornosky '76, Anne Mooney '76, Cam Staples '76, Amy Wagner '76, and Mary Ann Wheatley '77 were on hand to make the presentation, in honor of the 40th reunion of the Class of 1976.

Mr. Staples was headmaster from 1970-1977, and many anecdotes were shared by the group, which included Mr. Staples' son, Cam Staples '76. The portrait was created by Christopher Breining '80, younger brother of Dick Breining '76. There are plans to display the portrait alongside other pictures of former Heads of School.
