Portledge in the Now.

9/16 Match Recap

On Founders Day this year the Varsity Girls Tennis team faced off against Staten Island Academy in a hard fought battle. The match was exciting to watch with great rallies taking place on all courts. Although the Panthers were defeated 3-2 the team is getting stronger each match and the coaches are excited to see talented young leaders emerge. Coming off back-to-back championships the team is working hard to continue to be a threat in the league. First doubles team, Lisa Sholomon and Olivia Rush, have been a force to be reckoned with, winning 3 of their 4 matches this season. The team has 4 more home matches throughout the rest of the fall so make sure to come down and cheer on the Varsity Girls Tennis team as they work towards another PSAA Championship.
