MS: 8th Grade Trip to Tenement Museum & 9/11 Memorial

The 8th-grade students have a wonderful opportunity to visit the Tenement Museum and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum on Monday, November 17, 2025. Both museums closely align with the eighth-grade social studies curriculum, which spans from immigration through the post–World War II era in the United States. At the Tenement Museum, students will explore the stories of immigrants in the early 1900s, gaining insight into how they lived and worked. Later, at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, they will reflect on the events of September 11 and honor the lives lost and the heroes of that day. Students and chaperones will depart from Portledge at 9:00 AM and return to campus at approximately 4:00 PM. We look forward to this meaningful day of learning and reflection.
