Portledge School Celebrates Chinese New Year

Lower, Middle and Upper School students came together in the Lower School Gym to present an assembly to recognize the Chinese New Year on Wednesday, February 1, 2107.
The Middle and Upper School students presented a shadow play that retold the story of the race for the Chinese zodiac, in which various animals raced to be given a place of honor in the zodiac by the Jade Emperor. Lower School students performed the Children's Chorus from Turandot, by Puccini.

Further events took place throughout the day, and throughout the school, to mark this festive holiday. Our thanks go to all the faculty, parent and student volunteers that helped make this day a great success.
