Portledge Math Team Scores Big in an Action-Packed Year of Competitions!

The math team had an even more active year, increasing the number of competitions we took part in.

We still participated in the usual competitions: AMC 8, AMC 10, AMC 12, six New York Mathematics League (NYML) competitions, and six Nassau County Interscholastic Mathematics League (NCIML) competitions. One of our sixth graders earned a perfect score on the AMC 8 exam! We also traveled to SUNY Old Westbury for the Nassau Mathematics Tournament. This past year, we added a total of fourteen virtual competitions, where we played against other teams throughout the United States.

We are looking forward to another great year of mathematics competitions.
